Newer Paintings

Here are some of the more recent things I've been working on...mainly just doodling and having fun with them...nothing too serious here.
This was a painting that started as being inspired by a picture from a magazine with two people laying on the rocky shore of a river. Well, that painting turned out to not go over so well, and it somehow ended up turning into this bird!

This piece, which I don't think photographed very well, was inspired by a Georgia O'Keefe wator color of a sunset in the Arizona Desert. The original picture was so amazing that I wanted to have my own little reminder...it doesn't have quite the same effect, so I may try this one again.

This is inspired by the same piece by Georgia O'Keefe that was the inspiration for the third drawing down in my, "Finally, a new post," post. :)

Finally, this is a little fish I did with Colored Pencil and metallic powder on wood. I'm not sure why I decided to put the "handle" on his head, but I thought it was interesting, and almost turns it into a toy or something. I like how it turned out though!
